Salvo magazine has a thought provoking article on the Body Worlds exhibit here. The part of the article that struck me was the story of the eight months pregnant woman with her fetus exposed. Apparently, she donated her body to science when she was told, while pregnant, that she had a terminal disease. Leaving aside the issue of whether or not Body Worlds can be called science (it seems more like a circus side show to me), one wonders why the baby had to die too. An eight month foetus can survive outside the womb, it happens all the time. I suppose we will never know.
